We know that identifying what you need can be confusing amidst so much information.
Our mission is to listen to you, guide you with honesty and design a personalised protocol that resolves your doubts and enhances your image with complete safety.

Ageing skin.
Skin ageing manifests as volume loss, sagging and wrinkles. It can be treated by restoring tissues with hyaluronic acid and stimulating collagen with biostimulators. Some dynamic wrinkles are effectively treated with botulinum toxin.

Tired appearance.  In a tired appearance, the face can look dull due to progressive loss of support and elasticity. Treatment is based on restoring volumes, improving skin quality and repositioning tissues using hyaluronic acid, regenerative medicine or PDO threads. The goal is to restore freshness without altering expression.

Flat lips and barcode lip lines.
Over time, lips lose definition and perioral wrinkles appear. Dermal fillers allow us to redefine contours, improve hydration and rejuvenate the area in a subtle, balanced way, respecting facial harmony.

Double chin.
A double chin can be due to fat accumulation, sagging skin or lack of jawline definition. Treatment combines reduction of localised fat, improvement of skin firmness and jawline definition to achieve a more sculpted profile.

Bruxism / Teeth grinding.
Bruxism generates muscle overload, jaw pain and frequent headaches. Botulinum toxin relaxes the involved muscles, reduces night-time grinding and improves sleep quality, with a medical and functional approach.

Learn more…

Hyperhidrosis.
Excessive sweating can seriously affect quality of life. Botulinum toxin allows us to controllably block sweat gland activity, offering effective and long-lasting control of excess sweating.

Hair loss (Alopecia).
When hair follicles are still viable, it is possible to stimulate their activity using regenerative medical treatments. The goal is to strengthen existing hair, improve its quality and halt the progression of hair loss.

Learn more…

Sagging skin.
Sagging appears due to decreased collagen and elastin. Medical biostimulator treatments activate collagen production, improving firmness and the adherence of skin to deeper planes.

Under-eye hollows (Tear troughs).
Under-eye hollows usually appear due to loss of fat compartments and sagging of the periocular skin. They are corrected by repositioning and filling these tissues, safely and naturally improving the tired, aged look of the eyes.

Learn more…

Ageing hands.
With age, hands lose volume and veins and tendons become visible. Dermal fillers allow us to restore these spaces, improving appearance and restoring a younger, healthier look.

Learn more

Low immunity.
A weakened immune system can benefit from IV fluid therapy (suerotherapy), which provides key vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to optimise the immune response and promote better recovery. See also: Lack of energy.

Learn more…

Lack of energy.
Persistent tiredness may be related to nutritional deficiencies. Intravenous fluid therapy allows essential nutrients to be administered directly and effectively, improving energy, concentration and overall performance.

Learn more

Migraine.
Botulinum toxin is an approved treatment for chronic migraine. It works by reducing muscular and neurological hyperactivity, decreasing the frequency and intensity of episodes.

Learn more…

Poor weight control.
When diet and exercise are not enough, there may be a metabolic or hormonal imbalance. Medical weight control assesses these variables to design a personalised plan that prioritises health, metabolism and sustainable results.

Learn more

Chronic inflammation.
Oxidative stress accelerates ageing and promotes inflammatory processes. IV fluid therapy allows the administration of potent antioxidants that help protect cells and maintain internal balance.

Learn more…

Localised fat.
There are fat deposits that do not respond to diet or exercise. Using specific substances, it is possible to destroy localised fat in a controlled manner, improving body contour without surgery.

Learn more

Acne / Rosacea.
With specific medical treatments, it is possible to regulate sebum production, keep pores open and reduce inflammation. The goal is to control flare-ups, improve skin texture and safely and sustainably prevent relapses.

FAQ

What types of image changes can aesthetic medicine address?
Aesthetic medicine can address a wide variety of aesthetic and functional concerns affecting your image and wellbeing. From signs of ageing (wrinkles, sagging, volume loss), to tired appearance, under-eye hollows, double chin, hair loss, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), bruxism, migraine, lack of energy, low immunity, acne, rosacea, localised fat, ageing hands, to weight control when there is a metabolic imbalance. If something about your image or health concerns you, we likely have a non-surgical medical solution.
How do I know if my concern can be solved with aesthetic medicine or if I need something else?
That is precisely the purpose of our "Your Journey" page. We know that identifying what you need can be confusing amidst so much information. That's why our process begins with a medical assessment consultation where we listen to your concerns, examine your case, and explain whether aesthetic medicine is the right solution, whether you need a complementary approach (such as plastic surgery, clinical dermatology, or medical treatment for a condition), or whether what you're looking for cannot be addressed with our procedures. Always with honesty and safety.
Who is the ideal candidate for aesthetic medicine?
Generally speaking, any healthy adult who wishes to improve specific aspects of their appearance, delay signs of ageing, or seek greater facial and body harmony is a candidate. Ideal profiles include:

Young adults (20-30 years): Preventive and optimisation approach: stimulating skin quality, delaying early expression lines (baby Botox), or subtly harmonising features.

Mature adults (35-55 years and older): Restoration and rejuvenation approach: restoring lost volume, stimulating collagen, and softening dynamic wrinkles.

People undergoing body changes: Patients who have lost significant weight with residual sagging, or those seeking to complement a healthy lifestyle by addressing localised fat that doesn't respond to diet or exercise.
What requirements must I meet to be a candidate for treatment?
For a physician to authorise a procedure, the following is necessary:

Controlled general health: If you have chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune diseases), they must be well controlled and sometimes have approval from your specialist.

Realistic expectations: Understanding that aesthetic medicine enhances your own version, but does not transform your face into someone else's or imitate social media filters.

Emotional stability: The desire for treatment must come from personal motivation to feel better, not as an attempt to resolve personal, relationship, or work crises through the mirror.
Who should NOT have these treatments?
Temporary contraindications:
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: for safety and lack of ethical studies, we do not perform injectable or advanced device treatments during this period.
- Active infections in the area: herpes outbreaks, inflamed acne, or skin infection in the area to be treated – the procedure is postponed until the skin heals.
- Use of certain medications: anticoagulants or photosensitising agents (such as isotretinoin for acne) require a pause or waiting period.

Absolute or high-risk contraindications:
- Severe autoimmune diseases (lupus, scleroderma): may react unpredictably to dermal fillers.
- History of keloid scarring: tendency to thick, deforming scars – procedures causing deep micro-injuries or skin traction are avoided.
- Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD): a psychiatric condition with obsessive, distorted concern over imperceptible or non-existent defects. In these cases, treatments are never satisfying and our medical ethics dictate refusing the procedure and referring to mental health.
Can I improve my image without it being noticeable that I've had something done?
Absolutely. Our philosophy is to achieve natural, harmonious results that respect your identity. We do not seek artificial or exaggerated changes. We aim to restore freshness, lost volume, skin quality, or subtly define contours. The goal is for you to look like yourself, but at your best version, not like someone else.
Is aesthetic medicine only for wrinkles and facial rejuvenation?
No. Although well-known for that, modern aesthetic medicine covers much more. At ABesthetic we also treat general tiredness, lack of energy, low immunity (with IV drips), hair loss (with regenerative therapies), excessive sweating, bruxism, and even chronic migraine (with botulinum toxin), acne and rosacea (with specific medical treatments), localised fat and weight control (from a metabolic approach), ageing hands, under-eye hollows, double chin... If it affects your image or wellbeing, we can help.
What advantages does aesthetic medicine have over surgery for changing my image?
The main advantage is that it is minimally invasive or non-invasive: it does not require an operating room, general anaesthesia, hospital admission, or time off work. Procedures are performed in the consultation room, last between 20 and 90 minutes, and allow you to return to your routine the same day. The risk of serious complications is much lower than with surgery, and results, although sometimes less dramatic, are very natural and progressive. For very deep changes or significant skin excess, surgery is still necessary, and in those cases we will refer you to trusted surgeons.
How long do I have to wait to see the change I desire?
It depends on the type of treatment:

Immediate or within hours: Hyaluronic acid fillers (lips, under-eye hollows, double chin, hands), PDO threads, IV drips.
Within days (3-7): Botulinum toxin for wrinkles, bruxism, hyperhidrosis, migraine.
Progressive (weeks or months): Collagen stimulators, PRP, hair loss treatments, weight control, acne/rosacea improvement.

We will explain the timeline in your assessment.
Can I have several changes in one visit or do I need multiple sessions?
Yes, in many cases we combine several treatments in one session to address different concerns. For example, we can treat wrinkles (toxin) and restore volume (filler) and improve skin quality (PRP) on the same day. Or combine an IV drip for energy with a hair loss treatment. Everything will depend on your initial assessment and what is safe for you. Some more complex goals (such as weight control or complete rejuvenation) require several spaced sessions.
Are the image changes I achieve with aesthetic medicine permanent?
Most are temporary because we use absorbable products (hyaluronic acid, botulinum toxin) or stimulate biological processes that the body metabolises. Fillers last 6 to 18 months, toxin 3 to 6 months, collagen stimulators require annual maintenance sessions. However, some changes, if you maintain good habits, can be very long-lasting (such as metabolic improvement in weight control or hair stimulation). Aesthetic medicine is a maintenance commitment, not a "one-time solution". We design a long-term plan for you.
Can I have these treatments if I have a medical condition (diabetes, thyroid, high blood pressure, etc.)?
Yes, in most cases as long as your condition is well controlled. One of the advantages of being treated by an expert physician is that we can review your health status, help you regulate your chronic conditions if necessary, and adapt the treatment to be safe and effective. We take a complete medical history and assess each case individually. Your general health influences results and safety.
What is the difference between an image change with aesthetic medicine and one with cosmetic products or salon treatments?
Aesthetic medicine acts inside the skin (intradermal, subcutaneous, muscular) to modify structures: relax muscles, restore volume, stimulate collagen, destroy fat, administer vitamins intravenously. Cosmetics and salon treatments (cleansing, massage, creams) act only on the surface (epidermis) and cannot modify volumes, relax muscles, treat localised fat, or reverse significant sagging. For real, lasting image changes, aesthetic medicine is the only medical level. Aestheticians are an excellent complement for daily maintenance, but they do not replace medical treatment.
Does it hurt? Do I need anaesthesia?
Most procedures are very well tolerated. We use topical anaesthesia (cream) on the skin, and for some treatments (fillers, threads) we can use very fine local anaesthesia. At ABesthetic we do not use general anaesthesia for these procedures. In exceptional cases, Dr. Brieva may use conscious sedation if necessary for your comfort, as he is trained to do so.
How do I start my journey ("Your Journey") towards the change I want?
The first step is to book a medical assessment appointment at our clinic. In that consultation, with no obligation, we will listen to what you would like to improve, analyse your case, explain what options exist (including whether aesthetic medicine is appropriate or not), and design a personalised protocol. We do not publish fixed prices because each journey is unique. Book your appointment through our website or by phone and start your path towards your best version with safety and medical support.
