With over 20 years of medical experience in Colombia, Spain and the United Kingdom, we put science at the service of your image using certified protocols and products. We prioritise your health and clinical safety to achieve natural results while controlling risk, guaranteeing your best version under the direct supervision of an expert physician.

Botulinum Toxin. It works by controllably relaxing the muscles responsible for lines such as frown lines, forehead lines or crow’s feet. The procedure is quick, performed in a medical consultation and does not require time off work. Results appear progressively within a few days and last between 3 and 6 months.

Dermal Fillers. They restore volume, redefine contours and improve skin quality. Used for lips, cheekbones, under-eye hollows, grooves and facial contour. The treatment is personalised, minimally invasive and provides immediate, natural results. Hyaluronic acid is absorbable and biocompatible-safe and reversible.

Collagen Stimulators.  They activate natural collagen production, improving firmness, elasticity and skin structure. Indicated for facial and body sagging, with progressive and long-lasting results. Performed in a medical consultation and aimed at patients seeking rejuvenation without artificial changes.

Polynucleotides and Exosomes.  Advanced regenerative therapies that improve skin quality at a cellular level. They promote tissue repair, deep hydration and luminosity. Indicated for aged, damaged or dehydrated skin. Outpatient procedure and compatible with other aesthetic treatments.

Facial and feature moulding.  Medical treatments aimed at feminising or masculinising facial and body features using non-surgical techniques. An individualised assessment is carried out to respect each patient’s identity and goals. Progressive, natural and harmonious results.

PRP / Platelet-Rich Plasma.
An autologous treatment that uses growth factors obtained from the patient’s own blood to stimulate skin and scalp regeneration. Improves skin texture, luminosity and vitality, also used for hair loss. Natural and safe.

Dermal peels.  Comprehensive medical skin treatment for the management of acne, rosacea, melasma, scarring and skin rejuvenation. Through medical peels and specific topical treatments, we promote the removal of damaged skin, cell renewal and the controlled formation of healthy new skin.

Comprehensive rejuvenation, full face.  Combines different treatments to harmonise the face as a whole. Personalised plan that may include botulinum toxin, fillers, biostimulators and regenerative therapies. The goal is a balanced, natural result consistent with the patient’s identity.

FAQ

Are these treatments performed in an operating room or in the clinic itself?
All our aesthetic medicine procedures are performed in the medical consultation room itself, in a clinical environment designed to guarantee maximum safety and hygiene. They do not require an operating room, as they are non-invasive or minimally invasive treatments carried out with the patient comfortably on an examination bed.
Will I need anaesthesia? Does it hurt?
Most treatments are very well tolerated without anaesthesia or only with topical anaesthesia (cream) on the skin. For procedures such as dermal fillers or collagen stimulators, we can use local anaesthesia with a fine needle or very gentle nerve blocks. In some specific cases, we can use conscious sedation – Dr. Brieva has the training and expertise to administer it safely, ensuring your absolute comfort during the procedure.
How long does a typical session last?
The vast majority of our treatments (botulinum toxin, fillers, peels, PRP, etc.) last between 20 and 60 minutes. They are quick procedures that fit into a lunch break or a mid-morning visit. More complete treatments such as full facial rejuvenation can take up to 90 minutes.
Will I need time off work or recovery time?
No. These are outpatient procedures that do not require hospital admission or sick leave. You can return to your normal activities immediately after the consultation. Some treatments (such as certain medium-depth peels or minor surgery) may cause redness or small scabs for 2-4 days, but they allow your normal routine with simple care. There is no "bed rest".
Can I have a treatment if I have a chronic illness?
Yes, in most cases, as long as the condition is well controlled. One of the great advantages of being treated by an expert physician (rather than a centre without medical supervision) is that we can help you regulate your chronic conditions, review how your body might respond to each treatment and adjust the plan according to your specific needs. We perform a complete medical history and mandatory prior medical assessment. Your safety and overall health come first.
Can anyone have these treatments?
At ABesthetic, after an individual medical assessment. We recommend not treating women during pregnancy or breastfeeding, nor people with active infections in the area to be treated, uncontrolled severe coagulation disorders or known allergies to any component of the products. The rest of healthy adults (including those over 65) are potential candidates, always with appropriate precautions.
Are results seen instantly or is there a waiting period?
It depends on the treatment: hyaluronic acid fillers, PDO threads and IV drips offer immediate or same-day results. Botulinum toxin is noticeable after a few days (3-7 days). Collagen stimulators, PRP, polynucleotides and metabolic weight treatments are progressive (weeks or months). In your consultation we will explain what to expect and when. Patience usually brings the most natural and long-lasting results.
Does the final result depend only on the treatment or on me as well?
Both. We provide the science, certified protocols and medical expertise. You provide healthy lifestyle habits (hydration, nutrition, no smoking, sun protection) and following post-treatment instructions. Furthermore, your general health status directly influences skin quality and healing: a healthy patient will have better and longer-lasting results.
Can I combine several treatments in one visit?
Yes, and this is part of our philosophy of comprehensive or "full face" rejuvenation. For example, we can apply botulinum toxin to the upper half of the face and filler to the cheekbones and lips in the same session, safely and without additional waiting times. We also combine peels with PRP or IV drips. Everything will depend on the initial assessment we carry out to ensure that your skin and general health tolerate the chosen combination well.
Why should I choose an expert physician over another professional?
Because aesthetic medicine is medicine, not cosmetics. A physician with training and experience (like our 20 years in Colombia, Spain and the UK) understands anatomy, vascular complications, drug interactions and systemic diseases. We know what to do if something doesn't go as expected, we use certified products and we prioritise your health over any aesthetic result. Neither aestheticians nor cosmetologists are authorised to perform injections, deep peels or use medical-grade devices.
What is the difference between aesthetic medicine, plastic surgery and dermatology?
Aesthetic medicine is minimally invasive, outpatient, with no operating room or sick leave. Plastic surgery is invasive, requires an operating room, general anaesthesia or sedation, hospitalisation and sick leave. Dermatology focuses on diagnosing and treating skin diseases (melanoma, psoriasis, severe acne). For cases requiring surgery, we refer you to trusted plastic surgeons with whom we collaborate.
How often should I repeat the treatment?
It depends on the treatment: botulinum toxin every 4-6 months; hyaluronic acid fillers every 6-18 months depending on the area; collagen stimulators 1-3 sessions with yearly touch-ups; metabolic treatments (weight, hormones) require ongoing monitoring. We design a long-term plan so you invest in maintaining, not "fixing emergencies".
